The Cyber Cafe
Based on the internet cafe idea so prevalent in Europe, MECC's Cyber Cafe offers students a place to relax, have quiet conversations, read, or web browse in between classes. Tables and chairs are provided for workspace, and a number of high speed workstations as well as a laser printer (5 pages per use) provide a comfortable computing environment for a quick update on news, events, communications, or even homework. Please review the Rules of Conduct for the Cyber Cafe and enjoy one of our favorite student gathering places.
Supervised by our own Diplomat corps, the Cyber Cafe is normally open Monday-Friday from 9AM until 2PM. At times a shortage of student workers may cause this schedule to be adjusted, as will the occasional use of the room for a faculty, staff, or club meeting, but generally speaking, if the lights are on and the door is open, come on in and read, compute, or just take a break from the daily whirlwind and sit quietly for a while.
